Passed out in our school clothes,
so we wake up in our sundays best,
i never asked for your opinion,
i just got it,
and i get it,
you move slow like daytime drama
and I'm boring like his songs
so while I'm taking you for granted
we'll be
hummin' along

well cross my heart and hope to,
im lying just to keep you here.
so wreckless,
so thaughtless.
so careless,
i could care less.
well cross my heart and hope to,
im lying just to keep you here.
(so wreckless)
well ill keep you here
(so thoughtless)
well illlllllllll
(well i could care less)

So paint your face up somthing elegant.
and this time may be a darker shade of red.
cause a long night,
means a fist fight,
against your pillow,
and my pearly whites.
i wanna hear you scream,
you like me better on my knees.
so let us pray(We don't believe)
so let us pray(In second chances)

dont you ask me
and dont you run away

well cross my heart and hope to,
im lying just to keep you here.
so wreckless,
so thaughtless.
so careless
i could care less.
well cross my heart and hope to,
im lying just to keep you here.
(so wreckless)
well ill keep you here
(so thoughtless)
well illlllllllll
(well i could care less)

well cross my heart and hope to,
im lying just to keep you here.
ill keep you here
ill keep you here

well one of us never said it
but we're taking it all,
tell me why you never
promised that you wanted it all
and her eyes never batted
when she said it
its a long night
open
know it all
this glass house is burning down,
you light the match ill stick around
ill give you everything you want,
and wish the worst on what i was.
in this glass house is burning down,
you light the match ill stick around
ill give you everything you want,
and wish the worst on what i was.

Tonight wont make a differnce (repeat a few times)

this is my favorite song on the cd. it reminds me a lot of the songs that were on "tell all your friends", which is one reason i think i enjoy it more than most of the other songs. it just has a very mellow and relaxing sound to it, i can listen to it over and over...

alright, so this is the last tbs song that was written by john nolan. this version was rewritten by adam and fred, but the original version (you can slowdance on the inside) was written by john... then john left, and parts of it were rewritten, and it was renamed ellieisomghawt, and then worked on some more and finally resulted in this. so i guess it sounds more like the songs on TAYF because the groundwork for this song was laid by john.

this song is at least partially aimed at jesse from brand new, and maybe partially at john as well. the beginning guitar and lyrics are very similar to soco amaretto lime:
"Passed out on the overpass
Sunday best and broken glass"
compared to
"Passed out in our school clothes,
so we wake up in our sundays best"

seeing as how this song is about jesse, it's doubtful that it's just a coincidence.

"i never asked for your opinion,
i just got it,
and i get it,"

i think this is about how jesse said he didn't think tbs should be playing "there's no 'i' in team" anymore, because the song is about him and john, and john left... and adam was basically just like fuck you, we're going to keep playing it even if you don't like it.

I agree with zeroaid, best part of the song, it's sung really well with a good beat and leads great into the ending. sicker tune
