Actually, those lyrics aren't exactly correct. Just a couple tiny mistakes. It actually says
'This city's burnin' , instead of 'it's city's burnin'.....& It's 'St. Jimmy is a figment of,
Your fathers Rage & your mothers Love'
Thats all. Couldn't have Billie Joes beautiful words bein' all screwy could we?

The fact that Letterbomb started off as just something stupid Billie was thinking about is really amazing, when you consider what an amazing song it turns into.
American Idiot is by far Green Day's best album. Too bad some people haven't learned totally how to listen and write out lyrics perfectly, which in some cases can fuck up a song. But hey, these are just small mistakes, good job man. |
