Taking Back Sunday's "Tell All Your Friends" has a unique yet similar sound to them. Although they recently lost their backup vocalist, John Nolan (who left to start Straylight Run), TBS has recruited a new backup singer from Breaking Pangaea

The album starts off with my least favorite song on the CD, "You Know How I Do". Personally I like to start from track 2 and I can listen to the rest of the album straight through. The next song on the album is "Bike Scene", which is a pretty good song. There's backup vocals provided by Nolan's sister, who has also left the band for Straylight Run. Track 3 is where the album starts to really takeoff. "Cute Without the 'e' (Cut from the team)" is by far the best song on the album. The amazing guitar riffs and shrieking vocals are guaranteed to give you goosebumps. The next song on the CD, "There's no 'I' in Team" doesn't let up the momentum, and is a reply to Brand New's song "Seventy Times 7". If you know that history between the two bands and the two songs, it just has that much more meaning.

The rest of the album carries on in a similar fashion and all the tracks are pretty good. Of the remaining tracks, my two favorites would be "Ghost Man on Third" and "Timberwolves at New Jersey". Overall the CD is one of the better from the emo/punk/nu-metal/whatever genre and has sold over 200,000 copies. It also has some great music videos, especially "You're So Last Summer" which was Maxim's video of the month recently. That video is truly hillarious, and you can preview it at MTV.com. TBS's first album is a definite must have, and I'm eagerly awaiting their next release.
