Lovely relaxed album. This album is my diversion from the usual metal. For Opeth you need a open mind on music, you need to be metal fan, but also like really quiet, relaxed music.
The album starts with The Leper Affinity, it is one of the tougher songs and guitarist Peter Lindgren shows his stuff right away.
Bleak and The Drapery Falls are very diverse songs. One moment you're listening to cold hard metal, the next you're listening to clear a cappella singing.
Harvest is the most gentle song of the album. It's a freewheel by Akerfeldt.
Gotta listen to the other songs, no way I can describe them :-). Patterns in the Ivy is a nice interchange of the songs however (again Lindgren |worship|)
You gotta buy the album, it's great!! *turns the volume up*
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH :) |
