This is John Vanderslice's newest album and it mixes electronic sound with depressing voice and lyrics. Vanderslice shines with Cellar Door. Showing maturity compared to the song that got him exposure "Bill Gates Must Die." Song highlights would have to be "They Won't Let Me Run" its about how once Vanderslice has children he can no longer avoid them. "Lunar Landscapes" begins with a piano that remembers you of maybe a child's performance in front of a crowd. "My Family Tree" is a sad song talking about losing your parents as Vanderslice says "My Family Tree Is Me." Making him the only member of his family that is still alive. From the whole album you can see that Vanderslice has grown as an artist and a songwriter.
