Glassjaw's debut album, "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence" is, to be blunt, absolutely amazing. This CD is packed full of emotion and some of the most intense guitar riffs and screaming that I've ever heard. The CD is very similar, but also very different, from Finch's "What It Is To Burn", and cooincidentally (or maybe not so much), Finch recorded two tracks for their album featuring vocals by Darryl Palumbo, the lead vocalist for Glassjaw.

Not one track on this song is a miss. They're all near perfect songs, each distinctly different from the last track. The first song that really stood out to me on this CD was the second track, "Siberian Kiss". The lyrics are filled with pure anger and disgust and anyone who's ever been cheated on can understand exactly where the band is coming from. "Give me back my pictures of me. Me, you, and him that makes three" and finally where Darryl completely breaks down and shouts "If I can't have you no one will" is a line that's easily relatable to.

The next track that stands out is "Piano" because it's a lot slower paced than the other songs. It culminates into an extremely emotional ending to the song that seems almost too fitting. Finally, the last song on the album, "Motel of the White Locust" is by far the best on the album. This song is without a doubt the angriest song I've ever experienced, and maybe the best song by any artist that I've ever heard. The lyrics are far too violent and vulgar to be included here, but they're incredibly passionate and so intense that they're almost scary. This album is really great, 5/5.
