| Well...I know I should have respect for conflicting opinions and try to be as unbias and un-opinionated as possible in this review...but fuck that, Finch rocks! Normally when Im debating whether a band or album is up to par or not, I tend to compare them to other bands. In this case, I can NOT do that, because they stand on their own, as a band and as an album. Unlike the sell-out filled world of so called 'underground' punk-pop super bands such as New Found Glory, The Used or Linkin Park, Finch seems to be able to keep their credability in tack throughout the album. From a wide spectrum of tastes, Finch successfully puts together hardcore tracks like "Project Mayhem" with radio-friendly tracks like "Letters to You, and does it all without making it seem forced or fake. The entire album is like an exaggeration of every other band like them. The the bad songs are good, the good songs are great, and the great songs are incredible. From the piercing vocals from the lead singer Nate, to the clever guitar riffs and amazing lyrics, you can't find a reason NOT to get this album....so go get it now damnit!! |
