OK as Emerald seems to be too lazy to write a review about his own album, I'll start it for him :P
I had never heard of the band Finch, because they haven't released anything here in Germany. Then Emmy wrote a thread in a board about how good they are, so I tried them out. My first downloaded song was "Without You Here", and that is still my favourite Finch song. I love the great chorus!
So then I checked out the Finch homepage (www.finchmusic.com), where you could (and still can) listen to all the songs through a player (bad quality though). So as I liked the other songs as well, I ordered the album as an import via amazon.com, and I don't regret it, because it's really a great album!
Although Emmy will kick me for it, I'll compare Finch to Linkin Park, because they both combine hard metal riffs with emotional singing and sometimes also screaming. Only the song "Project Mayhem" doesn't really fit, it's just 5 minutes of noise (the skip-song...). But the rest of the album rocks!
Songs to check out: "Without You Here", "Untitled", "Three Simple Words", "What It Is To Burn" |
