when i first heard a song off this cd, my initial impression was that they sounded like Creed... then i heard another song, and it sounded like the backstreet boys... needless to say, i didn't like it very much =P. anyway, after listening to the cd a few more times it started to somewhat catch on. honestly it's not really my type of music, as i'm more into punk/screamo/nu-metal (whatever you want to call it, labels are for cans)
the music isn't bad, and these guys definitely have some talent. i'm not too down with the fact that they use the cd to tell a story, because if i wanted to hear a story i'd go rent a movie instead of buying a cd. the vocals aren't great either, but they're not bad. overall it's a pretty decent cd, and it falls into a bunch of different genres, so i think it should appeal to a good deal of people. check it out, even if you don't like the music you'll still get to hear a decent story ;-) |
