Coheed and Cambria... definitely an interesting group. The lead singer's unique voice sets the band apart from all other bands of this genre. Some people can't get past the way they sound, and don't like Coheed and Cambria, and at first I didn't like them very much either. They're more of an acquired taste than most bands, and once you acquire it, you get hooked.
This album is similar to the first one, but some growth in the group is apparent. The band does a great job of creating an eery mood with this album by using clever lyrics and catchy guitar riffs along with some awesome vocals. My favorite track on the album is "A Favor House Atlantic", because it combines all three of this into 3 minutes and 54 seconds of pure melodic-rock.
I can't guarantee that you'll like this band, but it's definitely something different. It's certainly worth a shot, so give it a try. |
