The first song I heard by Blink was "What's My Age Again?" off Enema of the State. I was very impressed with that CD, and then got the live CD: The Enema Strikes Back. That CD was and still probably is one of my favorite CDs ever. It contained a lot of songs that I had never heard before, like Dammit and Pathetic. So I decided to just listen to their CD Dude Ranch one time... but that didn't work out. I was absolutely blown away by Dude Ranch. It's definitely one of my top 5 all-time best albums.

After Enema, Blink released Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. This was a total disappointment for me. The CD has about 5 decent songs and the rest are just crap. With that said, I wasn't expecting much from this CD. But to my great surprise, I was dead wrong.

Blink 182's self-titled release is a masterpiece. The band obviously shows immense growth on the album. I can't even name which songs are best because they're all so good. "I Miss You" has an awesome melody, amazingly dark lyrics, and really gets the message across. "All of This", with the lead singer from "The Cure", Robert Smith, is possibly my favorite on the album. "I'm Lost Without You" is another great song with equally good lyrics. "Stockholm Syndrome" and "Go" are very upbeat, powerful songs once again with great lyrics.

The album for me was a complete success. Some may not like Blink's new direction, but it's definitely better than the direction they were heading with TOYPAJ. This CD is absolutely worth checking out, and hopefully we'll get many more greats from Blink in the future.
