When you hear the name for the first time, Unsensored might sound like just another band from another small town trying to make something out of nothing. However, this band of three "ready to be rock star" girls and a "kick ass" guy drummer are anything but your average wannabes.
Based out of Scarborough, Whitby, and Toronto, Ontario, these four rehearse non-stop, and have constant shows lined up month after month, city after city. Playing together for just over three years, Cheyenne Twiner, 21, Kristin Kane, 20, and Mike Grimsditch, 22, have developed into a steady, in your face live act.
Unsensored was transformed in the summer of 2000 when, Kristin and Cheyenne realized that if they were going to take their band to new limits, some changes needed to be made, and made fast.
They started a city wide search and over the next few years, it led them to a number of guitarists and drummers before finding the perfect two. June 2003, they found themselves jamming to the beat of drummer extraordinaire, Mike and in September 2005, recruited newest member, Christina Stanoulis, 19 on guitar.
Surprising even their toughest critics with their ability to play their instruments and their, beautiful, perfectly pitched vocal renderings, Unsensored has come to create a sound of their own. In their masterfully created songs Unsensored blend together a fine mix of new punk with just a touch of guitar driven rock n' roll at its finest. When you hear them for the first time, you will know immediately that it will not be your last. |
