Word is that a crazed fan of Modest Mouse
named Edgar Graham forced his way backstage after a show with a notebook full of lyrics. He gave the notebook to Isaac Brock the leader of MM He used the pen name "Ugly Casanova". like the song Brock had written earlier for modest mouse. Brock then gathered a group of friends and they put some of the words in the note book into songs. thus Ugly Casanova was formed. UC consisits of: Isaac Brock (MM) Brian Deck and Tim Rutili (Califone) Paul Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession) and John Orth (Holopaw). The album Sharpen Your Teeth was released in May 2002 on SubPop records. UC toured June and July 2002 |
