Biography
From her own words, on an old website:

"I’m a tiny girl, and I live in Connecticut. I’ve lived here all my life, and I’ve thoroughly learned from this experience. I know that soon, I’m going to be coming to a few forks in the road, and this soon is shooting by very fast.. like it’s going out of style…. I don’t know where I’ll end up, but I am confident it’ll be in the right place.
I play music…. And I don’t like to display it as any specific “genre”… I’ve been playing/singing and songwriting/and performing on my guitar like a madwoman (and the piano) since age thirteen. I’m self-taught… I’m somewhere up in my late teens as of now. But music, all throughout my life has been my saving grace, and I am eternally thankful to it. Some women get their calling in the form of Jesus, and scurry off into a convent, which is awesome. I’m not at all about to downplay these people’s personal comforts. But I’m not Christian, or Pagan, or Jewish, or a Guatemalan Tribal Worshiper, I’m young, and still searching spiritually. ……Okay, it was inevitable… I consider myself to be agnostic, but that does not entail the cliché, and stigma surrounding it. Just like everyone says, tries to explain, about their belief system….
Anyway, my calling was in the form of a wooden body, some very hard metal strings that were actioned up too high on the neck, and a few angry, and a few demure songwriters. Female, mostly… A few acceptations to that.. However, I list my greatest influence as myself. Sounds self-centered? No. If you think about it, music is pulled from the heart, not a stereo, and no matter what you grew up around, or whom you hung out with in high school, (or didn’t)… it’s all irrelevant when it comes to songwriting (in my opinion). I write, and am most enthusiastic to write from my own source. I can’t be objective about my music… but I know others can. And that’s what I like.
The most rewarding part about being a musician is that I’ve found my identity through this, and it’s placed me in a very serendipitous position. I know more about who I am via a few chords, and some angsty, vague lyrics…. Then most people will ever get to figure out…. This myriad, this labyrinth, we’re all tutteling about in… looking for an identity, looking for a way out, of out isolation, our facelessness.
I’ve got part of mine down…. And I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. The most rewarding thing I can think of is laying down on my bed with my cat, and my guitar grasped into my little girl hands…. And cranking out some of the most natural, yet belted noises I can push out of my throat, and fingers. "
